Outline of Ichushi Database

Ichushi Database is a database of bibliographic information collected from Japanese periodicals in the field of medicine and related areas.

Ichushi Database is used for search services, that is, the Ichushi-Web (for institutions) and the Ichushi Personal-Web (for individuals).

It is also available for sale as a dataset to companies and organizations that provide other medical information services. In recent years, it has been attracting attention as training data for generative AI.

Language: Information about the original language of each document. Approximately 90% of the documents are written in Japanese and 10% are in English

Author: All author names included for data from 2002 onwards

Affiliation of author: Information about affiliation of principal author of each article

Information about journal that contains data: Journal name, Ichushi-listed Journal Code, P-ISSN/E-ISSN/ISBN, volume/issue/page, publication year/month, publisher

[Abstract]

Abstracts are registered for approximately 20% of all articles and 90% of original articles. There are "third party abstracts (prepared by the Society)" and "authors' abstracts (included in original articles)."

JAMAS's Thesaurus terms indexed based on the JAMAS's Thesaurus, which are compatible with MeSH.

Ichushi Free Keywords that are not included in the Thesaurus, but are registered and maintained because of their importance.

OLD Ichushi Data

Data from the first issue in 1903 to issues up until March 1983 of the Igaku Chuo Zasshi have been digitalized. Only bibliographic information (title, author, affiliation of principal author, volume/issue/page, journal name) is included. Keywords are not indexed.
